Dear March—Come in
With a Double Conjunction, the Virgo Full Moon and Saturn in Pisces, Astro phenoms reign for the remaining Pisces SZN
March 1st kicks off some big midweek meetings, marking a month of baton-passing ahead.
The Planets of Love and Luck, Venus and Jupiter, conjunct on March 1-2 (location dependent), and shortly after Venus conjuncts Chiron on March 3 and Jupiter does the same on March 12, ALL in the sign of Aries. March starts with this auspicious moment to plan important ceremonies and make moves regarding the material world, boosting our amorous + financial relationships. Some hours after, Mercury and Saturn conjunct on March 2, centering serious business re: communication and calendars. This assembly of 4 strong planets can be stressful OR create balance during this Double Conjunction, depending on how you use it. A week later, we’ll experience the vivid and vibrant Virgo Full Moon, re-arranging our perspectives to get clear on the next 3-year period of Saturn in Pisces.
3/7 VIRGO FULL MOON
As an Earth sign, the rooted Virgo rules the physical self, wellness and health, along with responsibility and observation. Virgos want to put in the work, delighted by details, a sponge for study while caring for the community (think Hermoine Granger). As a mutable sign like Pisces, Virgo is interested in Change, but unlike Pisces’ enigmatic exploration which can be laissez-faire, Virgo is a practical planner. In matters of the mind and heart, a Virgo Moon can be quite “self-helpy”, at times to its detriment.
In the emotional current, the Virgo-Pisces push-pull may find itself trapped in a net of the Unknown by its own navigation. Those who are caught up in a NEED TO UNDERSTAND may be tricking themselves into obsession, drowning further into a situationship that does not serve. Even though Virgo is the Sign of Service, the Maiden Zodiac in purest efficiency has no time for foolishness. If your proverbial plate is full of pop-psych, condensed bytes of faux empowerment that delude you into feeling “right” over actually healing AND moving on, it might be best to admit it’s time to let that shit go.
The Myth of Closure may benefit from a Full Moon funeral rite. March’s Virgo Moon reminds us that self-dedication can be a more noble goal to swim alongside rather than endlessly chasing constant re-affirmation of what we are “worthy of”. Treating ourselves with respect in reality, making space for opportunities, and nourishing ourselves to the best of our abilities is a better framework. Virgo urges you to research; in this we find the Future. Community exists outside of others' unresponsiveness or ill treatment; sometimes we can’t see past what we are pining for, stuck on hopeful returns that never seems to arrive. One IG “quote” from Nate Postlethwait that we can stand behind, and an empowering Full Moon “fuck off” to the toxic attachments we carry, is as follows:
NO PERSON WHO TRAUMATIZED YOU NEEDS TO BE A PART OF ANY PROCESS IN ORDER FOR YOU TO HEAL.
3/7 SATURN IN PISCES
An intensely important passing of the Astro baton will be Saturn’s shimmy from Aquarius to Pisces… and on the same date as the Virgo Full Moon nevertheless.
When Saturn switched in Aquarius in 2020, the pandemic and restrictions were quickly unleashed in the United States. Saturn has a knack for the dramatic after all. While in Aquarius, Saturn was very restrictive for Fixed Signs. Its trials and tribulations test the best of us; on the flip, Saturn can help us mature and advance in small-thinking. From Aqua’s innovation to Pisces’ New Age, this final phase for Saturn will emphasize the extremes of our attachments. It will be a bootcamp for Mutable Signs, especially for those that suffer from indecision. For those experiencing their Saturn Return during this time, Saturn in Pisces will be incredibly emotional.
Saturn will remains in Pisces until February 13, 2026.
Again, we need to watch out for codependent attachments as false forms of structure. It may be quite easy to lose focus with Saturn in Pisces, all the more need for solidifying goals and routines. This cycle could turn creative practices into the flow they deserve, as long as it does now find itself lost in a dead-end pond, stubborn and delusional to its own need to let go of old ideas. And as the planet of moral obligations, whilst in Pisces, both the individual and HOW IT RELATES TO the collective will be put thru the wringer.
According to a recent RUUSH article, hydropolitics and “conspirituality” could socially wash over us, possibly further explored in terms of privilege. The dissonance between “good vibes” and social justice will further be emphasized, and hopefully shape up with a much needed reality check, yet not without severe struggle. Saturn in Pisces will indeed challenge our value-based beliefs, how they work for and against systems in ways we are ignorant to.
